Upcoming Events: Palm Springs in the Fall

Fall is a great time to visit Palm Springs, as the weather is mild and there are plenty of exciting events to attend. Here are some of the highlights:

September 2023

Thursdays: Palm Springs VillageFest takes place every Thursday on Palm Canyon Drive in downtown Palm Springs, CA. The street fair features art, entertainment, shopping, and food. Admission to the festival and the Palm Springs Art Museum is free.

Sept. 14-17, 21-24: The Palm Springs LGBTQ+ Film Festival is dedicated to advancing and further strengthening the Palm Springs diverse gay community through the establishment of a world-class forum that presents lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender cinema from around the world.

Sept. 20-24: The Dinah is a five-day weekend getaway and music festival catering to the queer women/non-binary/lesbian community that takes place annually in Palm Springs. The event features musical performances, pool parties, night parties, concerts, celebrity meet and greets, DJ battles, emerging artist contests, celebrity Dodgeball, and so much more.

Sept. 28-Oct. 1: Desert Jazz Escape Music Festival is a luxurious and unforgettable entertainment experience that takes place over three nights and four days at The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf.

October 2023

Oct. 5-8: Joshua Tree Music Festival is a family-friendly event that features a variety of music genres, including world, reggae, and rock. The festival takes place in Joshua Tree, which is about an hour's drive from Palm Springs.

Oct. 13-15: Desert Daze Music Festival is a three-day event that takes place at the Lake Perris State Recreation Area and features a lineup of indie rock, electronic, and experimental music.

Oct. 19-22: Palm Springs Modernism Week - October is a four-day long “mini Modernism Week” featuring more than 50 events, including tours, talks, and parties in unique locations not regularly open to the public.

November 2023

Nov. 3-5: Palm Springs Pride Festival celebrates the LGBTQ+ community with live entertainment and a variety of events, beginning with a block party on November 3 and culminating in a parade that starts at 10 am on November 5.

Nov. 17: Cathedral City Hot-Air Balloon Festival 2023 offers affordable entertainment with ground and rooftop balloon launches, live music concerts, an art show, a sports park, a kid-friendly zone, and even a car display.

Nov. 18: Props & Hops Brew Fest is a celebration of great breweries, delectable food, and entertainment, and vintage airplanes with brewers' booths set up inside the spacious Miles hangar.
